MicroGrid® expanded metal foils (EMFs) are versatile and effective EMI/RFI shielding materials. EMFs are formed from solid metal foil, so they are electrically continuous. Unlike knit or woven meshes, they exhibit consistent and predictable conductivity. Thin, strong and lightweight, EMFs will not fray or unravel, and conform readily to complex surfaces, making them compatible with composite manufacturing processes.
Available in copper, aluminum, Monel™, nickel and a host of other alloys, Dexmet expanded metal foils can be supplied in thicknesses down to .001″. Open area can be precision-tailored to meet customer requirements for weight, resistivity and shielding effectiveness.
