The EC Regulation 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) establishes an EU wide regulatory framework for this purpose. REACH, which was amended with EC Regulation EU 2017/999 on June 13, 2017, covers all substances, whether manufactured in the EU or imported, put on the market on their own, in preparations, or in articles, with some exceptions.
Fortunately, all of the products produced by the Dexmet Corporation are categorized as Articles under
the regulation with no intended release and are exempt from registration under the regulation. Dexmet
monitors the ongoing additions being made to the list of Substances of Very High Concern or SVHC’s. In
the event that an article contains an SVHC on the candidate list in a concentration exceeding 0.1% by
weight, then there would be additional actions required in accordance with the REACH requirements.
